I — The Operation
Reel Fun Fishing Charters fishes the waters of Prince Rupert and the surrounding areas — coho, springs (chinook), halibut, ling cod and Dungeness crab. Owner-operator Kevin Eikum has been working this water for the past twenty years, and guide Adrian Holmes has ten years on the local grounds.
Both guides are fully certified: marine first aid, small vessel operator’s certificate, restricted radio operator’s certificate and small vessel operator proficiency. The boat carries six, all the fishing and safety gear is supplied, and the trip runs one, two or three days.

Adrian has ten years on the local areas and is diverse in all methods used to fill the boat with the freshest catch — troll, drop or trap, whatever the day calls for.
III — The Targets
Springs (chinook) from early spring through mid-July, then coho from early July into September. Scotty downriggers, Shimano rods and reels, and two decades of knowing where they hold.
Bottom fish thrive around Prince Rupert all year long. For a dedicated bottom-fish trip, early April and May are the pick — those get booked well in advance.
Crab pullers are aboard, so traps go down while the lines are working. Dungeness crab rounds out a box that already has salmon and bottom fish in it.
IV — The Format
Most charters sell a single day and hope the weather cooperates. Reel Fun is built around multi-day trips — book two or three consecutive days and you get more tides, more water, and a real chance at every species this coast holds.
